When I first heard that this was happening I had to ask myself "WTF is an integrated system?". Well it turns out that there is a very broad definition of an "Integrated System" in Gartner's eyes. The market definition/descriptions were: Integrated stack systems (ISS) - Think Oracle Exadata, IBM PureApplication, and Teradata. Integrated infrastructure systems (IIS) - Think VCE Vblock, HP ConvergedSystem, and IBM PureFlex System.
